Latvian javelin thrower wins bronze at 2010 Youth Olympic Games

Latvian javelin thrower Intars Isejevs has won a bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. 

In his best effort the sportsman reached 74.23 meters breaking his own personal record.

"I am pleased with my achievement. I am happy that I have been able to maintain Latvia's javelin traditions and bring a medal home," said Isejevs after winning bronze.

Aldons Vrublevskis, the president of the Latvian Olympic Committee, thinks Latvian young sportsmen have reached excellent results at the Olympic Games in Singapore and he is particularly happy about Intars Isejev's outstanding performance.
